Shahin Faruqui resides with her family of five people in Navi Mumbai. Her husband is an electrician who earns limited money. Faruqui spent numerous sleepless nights thinking about her three children’s secured future. She hasn’t studied much hence, had no knowledge about jobs and career building. Keeping the financial issues under consideration, she got enrolled on the Fashion Design Program in association with RBL Bank. She learned several new things and implemented those skills in her work.
Shahin expresses, “Our financial condition wasn’t stable and that’s why I was frustrated. But the GTT Foundation has allowed me to work and earn money. I learned easier ways to stitch clothes and add different patterns to them. These things helped me to grow professionally. I earn 8000 to 10000 rupees on average every month. I have recently attended an event in Kolkata where I exhibited my work and gained a good profit. I want to thank the GTT Foundation for their support.”
