Meet our beneficiary Zainab Shaikh, who is a single parent to her two kids. Though she completed her SSC, family responsibilities restricted her from building her career. The family met with an ultimate shock when Zainab lost her husband in a tragic incident. She had nowhere to go and ask for financial help. She then started learning parlour and tailoring work. However, she wasn’t able to perfection in her stitching work. Zainab then joined the GTT Foundation in their initiative of free training and learned sewing from professionals.

Zainab says, “I had a minimal idea about fashion design and the market. Though I was working in a parlour, yet the income wasn’t enough to secure my kids’ future. The training by the GTT Foundation not only offered me a thorough knowledge of fashion design but also helped me to understand the market. I stitch cloth as per the demand and latest trends of the market. Now, I do not stress much about my family’s finances.”
