Meet our
dedicated student 18-Years-Old Khushi Kolkur. She resides with her middle-class
family consisting of seven members in Dombivli East. She has her mother, three
Brothers, one sister and a sister-in-law. Her monthly family income is 15,000/-
which is very less for a sustainable livelihood. She wants to support her
family financially.
Khushi got
introduced to the Lighthouse Foundation through our community mobilization
program in her area. Eventually, she came across the Digital Fashion Design
Program initiated by the GTT Foundation in collaboration with RBL Bank. She
joined the third batch of the training program. Khushi is a regular student and
her attendance, as well as, assignment completion is appreciable. Now she
thinks that the fashion design drive is really helpful to all people who are
passionate about doing something on their own. She further suggests everyone
get enrolled on the course for a positive advantage.
Through this entire, course Kolkur got the opportunity to learn basic and advanced fashion Design education. After her training completion, she felt confident to start her entrepreneurial journey. Currently, Khushi has started her own small business of attire alteration and making dresses, from which she is earning per month 1000/-. This has also helped her to financially support her family. Khushi now wants to be a successful businesswoman in the fashion design field.
