Dipali Santosh Kadu is from a middle-class family in Pune. Unfortunately, her husband died due to COVID-19 in 2021 which pushed the family into a devastating situation from an emotional and financial viewpoint. Dipali has two daughters whom she had to support and responsibly play the role of a single parent since her husband’s unlikely death. Nevertheless, she received immense support from her siblings and cousins.

Kadu started a snacks business in association with her cousins. She had an interest in fashion following which she joined the Fashion Designing course initiated by the GTT Foundation.

The course has indeed helped her in enhancing fashion design skills as well as confidence. She is slowly getting started with her stitching venture and successfully earning 3000/- per month. After the completion of the training, Dipali wants to begin her micro-business of bag production. She also wants to help other women by providing them with training and work opportunities.
