Sarika lives in Mumbai with her joint family of 10 members. She has a son and a daughter. Her husband is an employee of a private company. Sapkal wanted to help her husband in handling the family finances. She then joined the Fashion Design Course by the GTT Foundation with the intention to learn stitching at a professional level and earn money.

Sapkal states, “I wasn’t getting any opportunity to learn any skill and professionally practice them. I got the motivation to join the free training from my friend. I easily got enrolled on the course and attained knowledge of stitching and sewing. I have also started earning money. This makes me and my family happy.”
