Subhangi Gajanan Kapse resides in Adas locality of Beed district in Maharashtra with her family of five members. Kapse’s husband doesn’t earn much as he works as a farmer and labourer. To support the family financially, Kapse joined the GTT Foundation to learn to make doormats. She completed a three-day training program carried out at Beed district. After the training, she started to make and sell a variety of doormats. In a way, Kapse has become capable enough to earn money and fulfil the requirements of her family.
Subhangi states, “Belonging to a poor family made me try my hands at any work that can help me earn money. I always wanted to support my husband in financial terms but got fewer opportunities to do so. However, I got enrolled on the doormat-making training by the GTT Foundation. There, I learned to make good doormats in easier ways. After the course, I started a business of doormats. I sell my products at 100 to 150 per piece and have sold 10 to 11 doormats in the last month. I am hoping that I will be earning more in the upcoming months. I express my heartiest gratitude to the GTT Foundation for their contribution.”
