Kamini Mahajan and four other members of her family lead a middle-class and happy life. Nevertheless, limited income often made Kamini think about her abilities and how can she support her better half. Being a housewife with a lot of responsibilities restricted Kamini to explore her passion and skills. Many a time, she had to consider her family responsibilities prior to career opportunities. But she is now a small business holder who stitches blouses, dresses, and does alteration work.
Kamini shares “When I joined the Fashion Design course of the GTT Foundation, I was an ordinary housewife with passion but no confidence. After the completion of the training, I started sewing dresses. I have got the confidence to do something out of the box. I am still a responsible wife and mother, but the difference now is that I earn now and financially support my family. This makes me as well as my family very happy.”
