Having migrated from a small village in rural Maharashtra to Pune, the transformation made our family’s survival difficult. Our income was relied on the vegetable stall, my husband and I used to operate in Pune, which was not sufficient for a family of four. My interest towards tailoring motivated me to enrol for Digital Fashion Design Programme. The course was holistic in providing tailoring skills and techniques and also boosted my confidence to take this as business rather than a mere hobby.

In the span of one year I have established my business with Summer Collections – created by upcycling sarees into trendy clothes and dresses and want to take this to national level by reaching more and more people.
